What to do in case of an accident

Post Pic

If you are involved in an accident you should:

  1. Get all identifying information from each person involved and any witnesses;
  2. Provide your identifying information as required by law;
  3. Call the Police immediately and ask that a report be written;
  4. You may be required by law to render aid and/or stay at the scene until the authorities arrive;
  5. Photograph the relative position of the vehicles and the scene, if a camera is available, otherwise draw a diagram;
  6. Write down what the other parties have said - this may be very useful later as evidence;
  7. Ask for medical attention immediately if you were injured or think you were injured in the accident; and
  8. Call an Attorney immediately for legal advice!
